The Information reported on 2026-10-24 that OpenAI gave Replit more than 30% off to win a contract worth over $100 million a year, after Anthropic declined to extend Replit's prior discount without a higher spending commitment. Replit has moved most of its AI spend from Anthropic to OpenAI, following CEO Amjad Masad's 2026-10-16 remark at TechCrunch Disrupt that it no longer works with Anthropic. It is the first disclosed value for Replit's model-supply switch and puts a nine-figure annual supplier commitment, at a discount, at the core of its cost base.
