Semafor reported on 23 September 2026 that Flock Safety is weighing a sale of the company and has held conversations with outside advisers; people familiar with the matter described the discussions as preliminary, with no decision made on whether to run a sale process. Semafor named licence-plate-reader rival Axon and Motorola Solutions as parties the network could appeal to; a Flock spokesperson declined to comment. An outright sale would be the most consequential exit path for the Atlanta company as customer cancellations and federal scrutiny mount, and would reset secondary-market pricing on its last private mark.
